Charlotte is 17, so we're very proud of her learning to read so early. I didn't start til my early twenties.
Actually. She's 5. She started learning when she was 4, but there's really nothing she can't read right now, except big words she hasn't encountered yet. The mind of a child is amazing, isn't it?
I think when she was margaret beau's age i was still doing most of the reading, but pointing to the words as i read them, so she'd start to recognize them. Of course sometimes a 3-year old won't want you to point at the words, and simply wants you to "read the damn book daddy" :--)
